Assessments and Districts

Assessments

Improvements in many areas (such as roads, sidewalks, sewer, water systems, and storm drain facilities) have been financed through the issuance of special assessment district bonds. Property owners repay these bonds through annual assessments added to their property tax bills for a specified length of time.

The special assessment districts that remain active are:

Community Facilities District Number 1
Community Facilities District Number 2
Deer Creek Manor Drainage Maintenance District
Deer Creek Manor Landscape and Lighting District
Shasta Gateway Industrial Park Assessment District
Wastewater Reclamation Facilities Assessment District, Series A & B

You can view CFD Number 1 and 2 annual reports here.

Property tax payments should be paid directly to:

Shasta County Treasurer/Tax Collector
1450 Court Street
Redding, CA 96001

The City does not accept property tax payments.
