Provide your input on the City of Shasta Lake 2040 General Plan Update!  Commenced in January 2015, the General Plan Update has been created extensive review and input at meetings and public workshops. The Plan expresses the community’s vision for the city of Shasta Lake’s future growth.  The 2040 General Plan DPEIR evaluates the potentially significant environmental impacts of implementing the 2040 General Plan project.  The Plan will apply citywide and addresses many topics including land use, housing, transportation, public facilities and infrastructure, community character and health, public health and safety, preservation of open space, air quality, climate change and sustainability, noise, parks and recreation, economic vitality, and community governance. Once adopted, it will be the foundation upon which future land use decisions, including zoning of property, will be based. This is the first comprehensive update of the General Plan since the original Plan was adopted in 1999, following incorporation of the city. “

Your input on the Plan and on the related Draft Programmatic Environmental Impact Report (DPEIR), is needed to ensure the Plan reflects the needs and desires of the community.
