Work tasks on this project generally include traffic control, erosion and sediment control, trench sheeting, shoring, and bracing, temporary water service connections, partial removal of existing 2” water main, installation of new 6” water main, installation of one valve assembly, removal of one 2” valve, and surface restoration. All other items or details not mentioned above that are required by the Plans or the Contract Documents shall be furnished, fabricated, constructed, or installed. The Engineer’s Estimate for this work is $78,315.

All Contractors bidding on or performing work within the City of Shasta Lake involving connections to, or modifications of, the City’s potable water distribution system shall carry a Water Distribution Operator, Grade 2 certification, and shall be required to maintain active certification throughout the entire duration of the project. All work on new or existing potable systems shall be performed under the DIRECT SUPERVISION of the certified Operator employed by the Contractor. A prebid conference is scheduled between staff and interested bidders at Shasta Lake City Hall, 4477 Main Street, Shasta Lake, on Wednesday, September 14, 2022 at 9 a.m., at which time the project will be reviewed. All interested bidders are encouraged to attend.
